Looking for a Few Good Volunteers!

Due to a variety of circumstances, there are a number of openings on the Friends of Barnabas Mountain Medical Team traveling May 31-June 8.

We are looking for volunteers, medical and nonmedical, to join this team and serve the children and families of Honduras. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others in need. Join us!

FOB Mountain Medical Teams are comprised of 14-15 volunteers who travel to the remote areas of central Honduras. Most teams are made up of 3-5 medical professionals, 2-3 translators, and other nonmedical team members. While in Honduras, the team sets up four clinics: a general medical clinic (staffed by RNs, NPs, PAs, and MDs), a Vitamin A/Deworming/Fluoride clinic for children, a vision clinic and a dental clinic. Each team person pays for their travel expenses which is $1,810 per person for 2014. This includes airfare, food, lodging, insurance, and ground transportation.

Please contact Team Leader Carlos Liceaga at 757-846-5880 as soon as possible if you are interested in joining this team!
